Description of the Meeting: As a Fiduciary and Trustee you have many duties and obligations to beneficiaries. How long has it been since you looked under the hood? Do you wish you had a crystal ball so you could determine the life span of a trust or a list of what a beneficiary’s future needs will be? Join us to learn how to spot issues in your client’s trust instrument by conducting a careful review and analysis, paying special attention to income and principal provisions. Learn how to create a solid budget by determining expenses of the beneficiary and the need for distribution. You don’t need a crystal ball if you have these valuable pre-planning skills in your back pocket.Please join us March 1, 2019 for, “Distribute with a Plan." We will learn how to carefully evaluate a trust instrument, about statutory direction, how to complete a distribution budget, how to determine the life span of a trust, how to distribute principal without depleting a trust, how to determine beneficiary’s needs, as well as Income & Principal provision concepts. Tricia Shindledecker is a Santa Rosa lawyer, and is renowned in the areas of wills and trusts, special needs trusts, probate, estate taxes, conservatorships, Medi-Cal and Veterans benefits. Ms. Shindledecker is the President of the Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and a member of the Board of Directors of the Sonoma County Bar Association. She has also chaired the Probate Local Rules Committee of the Sonoma County Bar. She was recognized by her peers as a "Super Lawyer" in the fields of Estate Planning and Elder Law for each year since 2007.
