This informative, presentation provides an overview of mental illness and its impact; treatment and recovery; the adverse effects of stigma; the importance of advocacy; and NAMI in the community to educate, support and empower those affected by mental illness. During this presentation participants will explore common cultural myths around mental health, wellness, treatment, and more. Participants will also learn about important mental health resources. Talking about mental illness can be difficult, but these are often the most important conversations to have. Mental Health 101 provides an open platform to air any questions you ight have about mental health conditions. This will give an opportunity to learn about mental illness through an informative presentation.
