Estate Administration: Working with a CPA

Meeting Description:
Our presenter, Mason Quist, CPA with Hysell & Quist Accountancy Corporation, will provide an overview of a CPA's perspective of estate administration. He will describe the roles of the fiduciary and CPA, their liabilities, and common tax return pitfalls. Join us to learn much more about what to do, and what not to do. Included with in-person attendance will be a checklist of tasks for a fiduciary and topics to discuss with clients, along with a sample court approved trust accounting document.

Additional Information:
Mason graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He received his Master of Science degree in Accounting from Weber State University. As the owner, Mason brings valuable experience from his past positions with the Big Four accounting firm KPMG and as a financial executive at a young hyper-growth company. Mason is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. Mason and his family recently moved to Nevada County. Mason has a wonderful wife, Joslin, who is a native of Nevada County and three-year-old twin sons and a one-year old son. He literally has his hands full! Mason loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys all the recreation Nevada County has to offer, especially biking and running.
