Meeting Description:
The Medi-Cal and your Fiduciary Client presentation will strengthen your understanding of how Medi-Cal benefits can be obtained and used to enhance the quality of the client's life. It will help distinguish between "Traditional" Medi-Cal, the expanded Affordable Care Act (ACA) Medi-Cal and Covered California Insurance. It will review the basic eligibility requirements for these programs.

The presentation will explain Medi-Cal share of cost (SOC) including how to potentially eliminate the share of cost through various special programs. This will allow the fiduciary client to take advantage of programs such as IHSS, ALWP and others. It will discuss LTC spousal rules and regulations, Home and Community based services waiver, Aged and Disabled Federal Poverty Level, Working Disabled Program as well as the Board and Care disregard.

The Long Beach chapter will now be charging a small fee for attendance.
