Parkinson’s Disease and fall prevention This course will provide an over view of Parkinson’s disease including a review of the physiological and neurological presentation of Parkinson’s Diease. This course will discuss some of the current treatments available. This course will discuss why patients with Parkinson’s are at higher riskof falling, and discuss interventions to assist with fall prevention andquality of life.

• Identify disease progression, symptoms and various treatment options
• Demonstrate knowledge of Parkinson’s patients higher risk of falling and challenges related to this.
• Identify methods in which fall prevention programs and interventions for Parkinson’s patients may improve quality of life.
